Priming and Bird Watching

I was sitting at the kitchen table on Saturday and saw this Pilated Woodpecker at the suet feeder. I quick got my camera and was able to get a picture of it. It has been so much fun to watch the variety of birds come to our bird feeders. I did have to yell at a squirrel a couple of times to get out of my feeder! Where's Melody when you need her...sleeping on her rug in the entry way!

Between cleaning my house and bird watching
I was able to finish three more Cats and I
started working on a couple of Rabbits.

Here's a close up of my Rabbits. They are
still a work in progress. I will have to put
them on hold until we get back from
San Diego.

A close up of my Cats.

Kelly and I will be off to San Diego on Wednesday morning at 9:00. Eric will pick us up at the airport and we will then be in his care until we leave on Friday. Our flight gets in at 11:35 p.m. that night. I was able to get in touch with some of Shane friend's so hopefully they will be meeting him at the baggage claim when we land. Mom and Ray will be waiting for us at our house. Thanks Mom for babysitting Melody for us so we can go get our Marine!
Blessings to all!

A Weekend at Home

It has been awhile since I last updated my blog. I guess after Christmas things quieted down around here. Kelly and I are counting the days when we get to head to San Diego and see Shane (and be in some warmer weather). We have gotten four letters from him and they all have been very positive. That tells me he made the right choice. We will watch and see what else God has planned for that boy!

Here is a picture I took on New Year's Day. I sent it to Shane in a letter so he could see what he's missing back here in Minnesota. I like today much better. The thermometer says 35 degrees ABOVE ZERO and it's an absolutely beautiful day. Hope you got to get outside and enjoy it. I shoveled off my desk and actually had to take my jacket off because I was sweating.

New Year's Day temp....Brrrrr!!

Kelly bought me a new deck bird feeder. It is
fun to sit at the kitchen table drinking my coffee
and watch the birds. Do you see the Chickadees??

This morning there was a huge woodpecker at
the suet feeder. Of course I didn't get my camera out
in time. Can you see the bird on the backside?

This is suppose to be a Sheep. He's kind
of ugly, but with prim anything goes.

Maybe someone will find him cute and
give him a good home!

I just order 7 new patterns from Tennessee Ridge Primitives. I am going to start working on some grungy ole' barn cats. Hopefully they'll be cutier than this sheep.

Have a blessed week!
